Engage: The JOURNEY is a very unique–very popular–Lenten Bible study for small groups and home churches for a couple of reasons. First, we are following Mark’s narrative of Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem. Unlike the other Gospel writers, Mark doesn’t begin the journey at the so-called “Triumphal Entry.” He begins it at the Mt. of Transfiguration. Jesus’ long journey takes up about half of Mark’s entire manuscript. Curious?

Second, Engage: The JOURNEY is not just informative, but also life-transformational. Otherwise, what would bring busy and overwhelmed people back for more? Engage groups are intentionally designed gatherings of hopeful Jesus-Followers—deeply Bible-centric dialogues—that provide a safe place where vital life-dialogues can occur, where each participant is equally honored and challenged to apply the simple uncluttered Gospel of Jesus Christ to the real lives of real people in the real world, beginning with themselves.
