Gospel Rant 105

Why is it so important that I learn to preach the Gospel to myself twice a day? I am a Christian. Jesus died for all my sins and so loves me. Isn’t that enough? Why do I need to do anything else?

Well it turns out that this is how God planned it. Inside of our brains are powers that work against us feeling loved by God (or others for that matter). So we are charged to fight power with power. The Gospel is that power to believe. Believe what? To believe that God loves me as I am right now.

It is so simple a child could do it. On the other hand, it is so simple that adults despise it.
